About me

I am a sociologist researching social stratification, class and economic inequality, and survey measurement. I hold a degree in Sociology from Universidad de Chile and an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics.Soy sociólogo y estudio la estratificación social, las clases y la desigualdad económica, y la medición mediante encuestas. Soy titulado en Sociología por la Universidad de Chile y MSc en Sociología de la London School of Economics. At the Social Observatory of Chile’s Ministry of Social Development and Family, I contribute to the design and analysis of official socioeconomic statistics and am part of the estimation team behind the country’s official top-income-corrected inequality statistics.

Alongside this work, I am a Lecturer at Universidad Diego Portales, where I teach statistics and data science for the social sciences, and I teach survey methodology at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. I am also the author of dosr, an R package published on CRAN for the analysis of complex survey designs and developed for the production of official statistics at the Social Observatory.También soy autor de dosr, un paquete de R publicado en CRAN para el análisis de encuestas con diseños muestrales complejos y desarrollado para la producción de estadísticas oficiales del Observatorio Social.
