dosr: Survey Analysis Tools for the Chilean Social Observatory
CRAN · Package website · GitHub · DOI: 10.32614/CRAN.package.dosr
dosr is an R package published on CRAN for reproducible analysis of surveys with complex sampling designs. It was developed at the Social Observatory of Chile’s Ministry of Social Development and Family for the production of official statistics.
With a consistent workflow, dosr can:
- compute means, proportions, quantiles, totals and ratios;
- assess statistical reliability automatically using the standards of the Social Observatory and Chile’s National Statistics Institute (INE);
- produce publication-ready Excel reports; and
- perform between-year significance tests for time-series analysis.
Although the package implements Chilean institutional criteria, it can be used with any complex survey design. The CASEN household survey is included as example data.
