About me
I am a sociologist studying class and economic inequality: how ownership and employment relations shape advantaged class positions, and how these are reproduced across generations. My research combines relational class analysis with survey and administrative data in Chile. I hold a degree in Sociology from Universidad de Chile and an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics, completed with distinction.
At the Social Observatory of Chile’s Ministry of Social Development and Family, I proposed and co-led the integration of tax records and national accounts into the country’s first official top-income-corrected inequality estimates. I also teach quantitative methods at Universidad Diego Portales and survey methodology at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and develop dosr, an R package on CRAN for reproducible complex-survey analysis.
